I just posted a blog post about invalid whois and the problem with people putting false information on their domain name record of ownership. If you are not aware of this, you might be interested in knowing that there is a rule by ICANN that says that you have to have accurate data in your WHOIS record.
If you do not have accurate information there, such as an accurate name, address, phone number, and email address, then your domain name can be suspended or given up to someone else. In the case of Nikki Craft, 20 of her domain names were recently suspended due to invalid whois data. The websites did not go down, but the domain names were taken offline due to an invalid email address. In her case, the domain names were suspended for about two weeks until she was finally able to move to them to another registrar. Don’t let this happen to you, you need to make sure that your whois data is accurate and you do not have invalid whois data.
